Phumthep Bunnak

Data analyst

Phumthep Bunnak is a Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University. His research focuses on the potential of regional electricity trading in Southeast Asia, with a strong emphasis on its policy implications. He develops an open-source power system model and explores advanced modeling algorithms, which are then leveraged to inform energy policies. Prior to his doctoral studies, he served as an analyst at the Ministry of Energy (Thailand).

Phumthep's diverse educational background provides him with a broad perspective. He holds degrees in engineering (BS from Georgia Tech, MS from UCL), public administration (MS from NIDA), and analytics (MS from Georgia Tech).
